My Bloody Valentine - Ecstasy & Wine (1989) Lazy Records
At the beginning Kevin Shield, an huge fan of Jesus & Mary Chain, played with his band a proto Cramps / Birthday Party sound. The scottish Kevin decided to move in London. He meets the singer Bilinda Butcher and the pop noisy sound of My Bloody Valentine is born.
Ecstasy and Wine (you can imagine the main ingredients of the MBV recipe) is a compilation of EP and mini LP released on Lazy Records, a mix between jangle pop and the upcoming shoegaze sound of Isn't anything.

My Bloody Valentine is just about as good as it gets.
