Slint - Spiderland (1991)
I discovered this band through the excellent soundtrack of Kids, the Larry Clark first movie. The song "Good Morning, Captain" is so amazing, with his alternance of hypnotic guitars, dramatic riffs and the screams of Brian McMahan.
The song is based on the Samuel Taylor Coleridge poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner
In 2007, Slint has played this album for several gigs. I saw them in Paris and their performance gave me chills in my back.
